• We do not use third-party analytics cookies unless you opt in through the cookie notice on our website. Our informational pages show Google AdSense ads, which may use advertising cookies as described in section 5.3

The limited data we process is used solely to:

• Provide and maintain the disposable email service
• Display incoming emails in your temporary inbox
• Prevent abuse and ensure fair usage through rate limiting

3. Data Retention

We follow a strict data minimization approach:

• Emails: Automatically deleted after 24 hours
• Temporary inboxes: Purged after 24 hours of inactivity
• Server logs: Retained for a maximum of 7 days for security monitoring, then permanently deleted

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information or use the content of your temporary inbox for advertising. If you opt in to optional measurement, aggregated usage data may be processed by Google as described in the Cookies section below.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

5.1 Essential use

We use cookies and browser storage as needed for the service to work (for example, honoring your cookie preferences).

5.2 Optional Google Analytics and Google Ads

When you choose Accept on our cookie banner, we may load Google measurement tags that rely on cookies or similar technologies. These can include Google Analytics (understanding traffic and performance) and, if we configure it, Google Ads tags (conversion and remarketing measurement). Google receives certain technical and usage information subject to Google’s Privacy Policy. If you choose Reject optional, or do not accept, we do not load those optional tags for your visit.

We do not show ads on the inbox itself or on the homepage app. Google and its partners use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads and to measure their performance. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.

Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet. We never share the contents of your temporary inbox with advertisers, and ads are not targeted using anything you receive in an Inboxflip inbox.

6. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect data during transmission and storage, including:

• HTTPS/TLS encryption for all connections
• Regular security audits and monitoring
• Automatic data purging to minimize exposure

However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We encourage users not to send sensitive personal information through any disposable email service.

7. Children's Privacy

Inboxflip is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used our service inappropriately, please contact us.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
